I agree that traditional wikis have limited programmability. One thing that might not be clear from the quoted post is the additional components that we offer are actually built within the wiki, so anybody with a JotSpot wiki could create the same components or (better yet) their own new components. And because the components are represented in the wiki, you're free to hack them to meet your specific needs. I also agree that integration with external data sources is critical, which is why we've built XSLT, SOAP, etc. into JotSpot. Anyway, thanks for mentioning us!
